Mr Hoffmann studied economics at St. Gallen University and holds an MBA from INSEAD. In 1983, he stepped up from his role as board member at “Fondation Tour du Valat” to the position of acting head of administration at the “station biologique de la Tour du Valat” in the Camargue, France. In 1985, he joined James Capel in London as an associate on the Continental Desk before working on European M&A. He then worked for Nestlé UK for three years before establishing a family office dealing with asset management and board directorships.

Mr Hoffmann is non-executive Vice President of Roche Holdings Ltd and of Givaudan SA. He chairs the board of Living Planet Fund Management Company SA, Massellaz SA as well as Nemadi Advisors Ltd. He is also a board member of the following companies : Amazentis SA, Genentech Inc., Glyndebourne Productions Ltd. and MedAssurant, Inc.

In addition, Mr Hoffmann serves on the board of the following charities: Fondation Corbillettes, Foundation Dubois Ferriere-Dinu Lipatti, Fondation ProValat, INSEAD, Lucerne Festival and Paul Sacher Stiftung. André Hoffmann’s main philanthropic interest is in the field of nature conservation. To support his efforts in this field, he chairs the Fondation Internationale du Banc d’Arguin (FIBA) and the Fondation MAVA. Mr Hoffmann is also Vice-President of the Fondation Tour du Valat and WWF International.

Eric G. Sarasin

Eric G. Sarasin trained as a banker in Basel, Switzerland. He graduated with a business degree in finance and investments from Babson College, Boston, US, and is a graduate of the Swiss Banking School.

He began his career in banking at Pictet & Co. in Geneva in 1986, followed by further training at Morgan Guarantee Trust and Kidder, Peabody in New York where he also spent time at Citibank. He moved to Bank Sarasin in 1988 and became a partner in 1994. Prior to his appointment as Head of Private Banking for Basel, Geneva and Lugano, he was responsible for Swiss brokerage services for foreign institutions, the development of institutional marketing and the Group's Private Banking International business unit.

In 2006, he was appointed CEO for Private and Institutional Clients, Switzerland Division, Bank Sarasin. He is President of the German-Swiss Chamber of Commerce, was formerly Honorary Treasurer of WWF International and is a member of the Swiss Advisory Board of the Swiss-American Association.
Chiew Y. Chong
Chiew Y. Chong

Mr. Chiew Y. Chong is the CEO of the Living Planet Fund Management Company. He was formerly Director of Finance and Administration at WWF International and a former Board Member of TRAFFIC International – the wildlife trade monitoring network. He is a Trustee of WWF Malaysia and of BACoMAB, a Mauritanian conservation trust fund.

Qualifying as a chartered accountant in London in 1972 he subsequently attended business schools, including INSEAD and IMD. Prior to joining WWF, Chiew held various management positions in multinational companies in the financial sector and in information technology.

A strong believer in the social and financial merits of thematic and responsible investments, together with Mr Hoffmann, Mr Chong has been a key figure in establishing the Living Planet Fund.

Helmut Hohmann

Helmut Hohmann is a director of Alceda Fund Management S.A. in Luxembourg and is responsible for Alceda's Luxembourg-based client advisory team. Prior to joining Alceda, he was senior client advisor at DZ Bank International S.A., focusing on partner acquisitions in its funds business. During the past 17 years, Mr Hohmann has held positions at Deka Luxemburg, Landesbank Rheinland-Pfalz Int. S.A., as well as Landesbank Schleswig-Holstein Int. S.A.
Roman Rosslenbroich
Roman Rosslenbroich

Roman Rosslenbroich is a founding partner and CEO of the Aquila Group based in Hamburg, Germany. In addition to his focus on hedge fund activities, he is responsible for deal origination, structuring and project management.

Prior to establishing the Aquila Group in 2001, Mr. Rosslenbroich was the vice-president of Salomon Brothers AG in Frankfurt from 1998 to 2001. He headed the Fixed Income Rates Group and was responsible for the group's large institutional clients in Germany and Austria.

He graduated from Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt in 1998 where he received a MBA degree with honors in currencies, investment banking and international management.
