Living Planet Fund - Global Environment
Living Planet Fund – Global Environment is a global equity fund that invests in 40 to 60 companies that meet stringent business and financial performance criteria and whose corporate social and environmental policies align with our values. Preference is given to companies operating in the environmental technology sectors. We do not invest in industry sectors which we consider as potentially harmful to people or nature.
This fund is mainly invested in innovative large capitalisation companies (around 60%) with an important proportion of small capitalisations (around 30%). Companies selected are considered to be contributing significantly towards the protection of the environment, responding to financial criteria concerning sustainability and demonstrating a connection to one or more themes of the fund. Geographically, Europe (around 60%) and North America (around 30%) are the predominant zones of investments.
Our portfolio is structured around themes that reflect the mega challenges of the 21st century. These include: water management, renewable energies, environmental consulting, energy efficiency, sustainable mobility, ecological materials, environmental chemistry and biology, waste management, natural resources management and support to environmental technologies. These themes reflect financial judgement as well as philosophical beliefs: global demand for relevant products and services is likely to increase and the stock of companies that provide them have the potential to offer investors better than average returns in the mid to long term.
