Living Planet Green Tech Europe - Index

The Living Planet Green Tech Europe Index was launched on 15 Dec 2010. It is the result of a partnership involving the Living Planet Fund Management Company, Crédit Agricole - Cheuvreux, Amundi and Standard & Poor’s.

The Living Planet Green Tech Europe - Index tracks the performance of stocks that are active in the green business. Its universe is composed of European companies listed on stock exchanges of the western European countries. Companies selected are subject to a stringent methodology that includes financial criteria, positive screening and exclusions.

This innovative index selects and weights its components according to their turnover in the green technologies sector. The result of this focussed approach is a greater representation of pure players independently of their market capitalisation. The green tech sectors the index invests in are: Biomass resources, Alternative energy & transport, Eco products & services, Energy efficiency, Renewable energies, Waste management, Water management.
